BASS

Takerei is from Auckland, and joins NZYC in their third and final year at the University of Auckland. They are studying under a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Performance Voice, with Dr Te Oti Rakena. They are an active choral singer, composer, and conductor, having the privilege of singing in and working with many choirs around Auckland, including the Auckland Youth Choir and the University of Auckland Chamber Choir. They direct the Auckland University Students Choir, and teach at St Paul’s College Ponsonby as Director of Choirs, as well as an itinerant Voice and Piano tutor.
